Dancer is a sweet gentle mare that has produced nothing less than spectacular! She stands a solid 15.2 barefoot. She has been ridden lightly through out her life and is going to be put to work undersaddle this winter for her future as a lesson/camp horse here at Ribbon Dream Stables. She has beautiful well balanced movement. Dancer is put together very nicely with a long clean hinged neck, laid back shoulder and powerful hind end. She has an incredible temperment which she passes on to her foals. When longlined she likes to trot on like a powerhouse but when I have ridden her she will trot nice and easy if you want her to. She has alot of natural motion and excellent hock action. To me, she is defiantely an english type horse, but I bet you could take her western pretty easily if thats what you wanted to do. All 3 of her foals got her nice long neck, good height, and big trot.
Year Foaled: 1996
Color: Dark Bay
Disposition: she is easy going and gentle, in a herd environment she has a pretty dominant personality, she can be stand-offish if with the herd but once you get your arm around her neck she will just stand quiet and give in to you, but when kept stalled she is very friendly and easy all the time.
Training experience: She has been longlined quite a bit but never hooked to a cart. She rides quiet under saddle but needs finishing, she hasn't been ridden in over a year but that may change soon, if I have the time I will start riding her again ASAP. She leads great, loads great, she stands tied and cross tied, stands great for the farrier, she stands quiet for grooming and tacking, she is an easy breeder, a good mother, never had any problems foaling, has been bred 3 times and had 3 colts. She has never been lame, sick or injured since we have owned her(since 2002)
